Ministry Fines Bothwell Company

Bothwell-based Den-Mar Brines Ltd. is being fined $6,000 for drilling a gas well.

The company pleaded guilty to failing to notify the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in writing of any change in the well's drilling program.

Den-Mar Brines Ltd. had a licence to drill a natural gas well in St. Clair Township on an approved drilling program, but the ministry says the company deviated from the plan without approval.

The case was heard in court on November 27.
