Nude Painting Won't Be Censored

A painting at the Thames Art Gallery has caused a bit of a stir.

Curator Carl Lavoy says one complaint has been filed about the artists self portrait.

"It depicts him contemplating his own death," says Lavoy. "The fact that he's naked is simply stating that you go out of this world with exactly what you came in with it."

Lavoy says the painting isn't offensive in any way and won't be taken down.

Additionally the gallery does have a sign at the entrance letting visitors know that the exhibit does contain nudity.

The exhibit wraps up the second week of January.
