Ridgetown Crash Leads To Drunk Driving Charges

An Alberta man is facing impaired driving charges after a single vehicle crash in Ridgetown.

At around 7am yesterday, Chatham-Kent police say a pick-up truck hit a culvert on Reeders Line between Moore Rd. and Kenesserie Rd., and rolled several times before coming to rest in a ditch. One female passenger was ejected from the truck, while the man driving and another female passenger managed to crawl out through a broken window.

Police say all three occupants were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 37-year-old Alberta man was subsequently charged and held pending a bail hearing.
