Shop With A Cop Returns

Chatham-Kent police are taking a trip to Walmart with some very lucky kids Saturday morning.

Members of the OPP and CKPS are joining 50 underprivileged youth for their annual Shop With a Cop event.

Constable Renee Cowell says the purpose of the event goes beyond charity work.

"The goal is to break down the barriers between young people and law enforcement, with the intent of developing a better and more trusting relationship with those of us in uniform," she says.

The shopping trip will be followed by a breakfast and visit from Santa.
