Maroons Shoot Down Rockets In Double OT

The Chatham Maroons won a close 2-1 game against the Strathroy Rockets in double overtime.

On Saturday, both teams scored once in the first period to tie things up. After no scoring in the second and third period, the game went into overtime.

Maroons forward Ross Krieger scored the game winner in the second overtime period.

"I just kind of threw it on net and it happened to go in. I was pretty lucky to be honest," says Krieger.

The Maroons are back on the ice to take on the St. Thomas Stars on Sunday at 7pm.
