Maroons Fall To Stars

The Chatham Maroons were defeated 6-2 by the St. Thomas Stars on Sunday.

The Maroons fell behind early in the game and trailed the Stars 4-1 at the end of the first period. Both teams scored one goal in the second, but St. Thomas was able to keep their advantage, scoring once more in the third to ensure the win.

Steven Beenackers and Connor Koviak scored the two goals for Chatham.

The Maroons will break for the holidays and return to the ice on January 6 to take on the London Nationals at 7:30pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
