Public Update On Truck Thefts

A public news conference called for this morning in Wallaceburg is going to shed more light on a series of truck thefts earlier this year.

Chatham-Kent police constable Renee Cowell says there was an arrest made in early November and that sparked a bigger investigation.

"Between August and November the community of Wallaceburg was plagued with a number of vehicle thefts," she says. "On Nov. 2nd we arrested and charged two people following a pursuit. We feel it is important and our duty to communicate with the citizens of Wallaceburg what has resulted from our on-going investigation."

The news conference is set for 11am in the municipal office in Wallaceburg.
