UPDATE: Tractor Trailer Hits Train

No serious injuries are being reported after a tractor trailer collided with a train on Zone Rd. 6 north of Zone Centre Line near Bothwell this morning.

In an email to BlackburnNews.com, officials with The Canadian Pacific Railway say no one on the train was hurt, while the driver of the truck only suffered minor injuries.

Chatham-Kent police say the 30-year-old man driving the truck was from the London area, the investigation is ongoing, and the crossing is currently closed.

The damage to the train is estimated at $5,000 while the tractor trailer's damages are pegged at $25,000.
