Wallaceburg native Seth Griffith is the American Hockey League's Player of the Month Award winner for December.
The Providence Bruins winger scored six goals and added 11 assists last month, racking up a league-high 17 points in 11 games.
Griffith's stellar month included scoring the game-winning goal against the Portland Pirates, assisting on the game-winner against the Hartford Wolf Pack and a four-point game against the Springfield Falcons. Griffith's month was capped off by being recalled to the NHL's Boston Bruins where he picked up an assist against the Ottawa Senators.
The 23-year-old is tied for sixth in AHL scoring with 30 points in 25 games for Providence this season.
Griffith is set to receive an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Bruins home game in recognition of his strong month.
