OLG Announces Third Quarter Payouts

Windsor is getting $2.2-million and Chatham-Kent is getting $172,000 from OLG as part of the gaming corporation's third quarter payouts.

Chatham-Kent receives payment for hosting OLG Slots at Dresden Raceway while Windsor is paid for hosting Caesars Windsor.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation reports the City of Windsor has been paid more than $25.7-million since May 1994 while the Municipality of Chatham-Kent has received more than $9.3-million since April 2001.

OLG adds it provides the province with about $2-billion in funding a year.

The province has allocated $38-million in 2015-2016 for research, treatment and prevention of problem grambling.
