Pro-Rape Blogger Cancels Group Rallies

A controversial American blogger who has suggested the legalization of rape, has cancelled all rallies across the globe including one in Windsor.

Roosh V, or Roosh Vorek, wrote on his blog on Wednesday that the men's group Return of Kings would no longer be holding any of their rallies on February 6, because he can "no longer guarantee the safety or privacy of the men who want to attend."

The group planned to hold events in a number of cities worldwide, including ten Canadian cities. The Windsor event was scheduled to occur at Bert Weekes Memorial Garden, a public park along the riverfront.

"While I can’t stop men who want to continue meeting in private groups, there will be no official Return Of Kings meetups," says Vorek on his website.

Vorek, an anti-feminist writer and “pick-up artist," has published a number of controversial blogs on his website, including one which advocates the legalization of rape.

His rallies have been denounced in Windsor with a many community agencies stating they intended to protest the group meetings.
