CK Shuffling Financial Staffing

Chatham-Kent administration is looking for a new face to head financial services for the municipality.

A vacancy is being made in the director of financial services role, with current Director Gord Quinton taking over for retiring Budget and Performance Director Mary-Lou McLeod.

CFO Mike Turner says its an opportunity to expand the scope of their employee's skills.

"It gives Gord the experience of moving into a new role," explains Turner. "He also has worked at the municipality for the last 20 years, so he has a lot of history with all the transactions that have gone on in the municipality."

This means Quinton will undertake new responsibilities during 2017 budget deliberations. Officials are accepting applications for the new director position until February 16.
