Firefighters had a difficult time extinguishing the fire due to the cold temperatures, high winds and slippery conditions.
Crews were called to a house on Valentino Dr. near Golfview Dr. at around 10pm Wednesday.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and a damage estimate has not been determined.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
