Maroons Fall To Flyers

The Leamington Flyers topped the Chatham Maroons 3-2 in Junior B hockey on Thursday.

After no scoring in the first, the Flyers took a 2-1 lead in the second. Both teams scored again in the final frame, giving Leamington the win with a one goal advantage.

Maroons Head Coach Tyler Roeszler says despite the loss to Leamington, there were a lot of positives in his team's performance.

"There'd be more of an issue if we weren't generating chances, but we stuck to it, gave ourselves a chance. Got a late one on the power play and then had a chance last minute to tie it up," he says. "We've just got to stay on it."

The Flyers will take on the Lambton Shores Predators next on Saturday at 7:30pm. And then on Sunday, the Maroons are back on the ice to face the London Nationals at 7pm.
