An estimated minimum of $13,000 is going towards Transition To Betterness thanks to the Simple Plan concert at the Olde Walkerville Theatre in Windsor on Wednesday night presented by Blackburn Radio.

Event coordinator Cathy Zaharchuck says the concert was put together in memory of former Blackburn Radio owner, the late Richard Costley-White.

"I couldn't think of a better way to honour Richard and that's how this whole thing started," says Zaharchuck. "Richard loved the fun side of radio and Richard was an amazing philanthropist."

She says 100% of the proceeds from the event benefit Transition To Betterness.

"It's a phenomenal local charity. They do so much good work and we are just thrilled to support them," says Zaharchuck.

Windsor band Huttch opened the show.

Final fundraising figures aren't yet available.
