Maroons Hold Fundraiser For Bobsledder

The road to the Olympics isn't a cheap one, so the Chatham Maroons are helping send a local bobsledder to the international stage.

During tonight's game against London, the Maroons will hold a fundraiser for Chatham native Julia Corrente, a member of the Canadian Women's Bobsledding team. She and her team are currently raising money to fund their participation in the 2018 Olympics in South Korea.

The festivities at Chatham Memorial Arena will include a silent auction and raffles. The Corrente family will also be selling "Team Jules" hats for $15 each.

Afterwards, the Chatham Maroons will take on the London Nationals. Puck drop is set for 7pm.
