Pearn Ready For Atlanta

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rolls into Atlanta Motor Speedway for the second race of the season.

Cole Pearn, a Strathroy-native, is the crew chief for the No. 78 Furniture Row Racing car driven by Martin Truex Jr.

After finishing second to Denny Hamlin last week in the closest finish in the history of the Daytona 500, Pearn is ready to take on Atlanta.

"Superspeedway races are specific, and this is our first really downforce style track, that we call, going to Atlanta," says Pearn. "Everything's new, brand-new, so we feel like we're prepared, but there's still a lot of 911's going off, so just trying to get everything put together."

Today's race gets underway at 1pm.

Pearn was place on probation earlier this week after NASCAR didn't approve of how the roof flaps lined up on the No. 78 during qualifying for the Daytona 500.
