OPP Stop A Trio Of Stunt Drivers

Chatham-Kent OPP are reporting three separate stunt driving incidents that all took place within a matter of minutes on the Hwy. 401.

Police say a 41-year-old woman from Conyers, Georgia was recorded travelling about 165 km/h in the westbound lanes of the highway near Merlin Rd. at around 9:30am Sunday morning.

The second driver, a 38-year-old Windsor man, was pulled over moments later near Communication Rd. after he was recorded going approximately 155 km/h in the westbound lanes.

A few minutes after that, another officer recorded a westbound vehicle going about 156 km/h near Communication Rd. A 47-year-old woman from Dearborn, Michigan was charged in that case.

All three of the drivers have been charged with stunt driving. Their licences have been suspended and their vehicles have been impounded for seven days.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
