McNaughton Meets On Wind Farms

Monte McNaughton says residents continue to express concern after the announcement of a new wind turbine project in the area.

The MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex was in Wallaceburg this morning and says he talked with about 50 residents at a coffee shop, he says they expressed two areas of concern about the Otter Creek Farm Project.

"It's going to be higher hydro bills for manufacturers, farm businesses, for seniors on fixed incomes," he says. "We know that in Chatham-Kent we have some of the best farm land in the country if not the best and there is concern about farm land being taken out of production as well."

The legislature is on a break this week and McNaughton plans to use the week to get to as many areas of his riding as possible for a discussion with voters.
