UPDATE: Leamington Crash Turns Fatal

A 34-year-old Leamington cyclist is dead after a crash on Albuna Townline, just south of Hwy. 3.

The OPP responded to the incident around 10:30pm yesterday.

Investigators believe the man was riding his bike northbound, wearing dark clothes, when he collided with a grey 2004 Pontiac Montana being driven by a 20-year-old Tecumseh woman. The car was travelling in the same direction.

Jean Francois Michaud was pronounced dead at the scene.

The regional coroner has ordered an autopsy, which will be performed in London.

No charges are expected to be laid.

Albuna Townline was closed between County Rd. 34 and Hwy. 3 for about five hours last night.
