Winter-Like Weather Still Possible

Despite this week marking the first days of spring, Environment Canada says Southern Ontario could still be hit with some nasty weather this week.

A weak disturbance could bring little snow or rain to most of Southern Ontario Tuesday.

The weather authority is tracking a strong low pressure system from Colorado, which could bring significant precipitation to Windsor, London and Chatham-Kent Wednesday into Thursday. A special weather statement is also in effect for the region.

Environment Canada says freezing rain and ice pellets could arrive over the coming days. Areas closer to Lake Erie could also see significant rainfall.

Weather officials advise motorists to be prepared to drive in adverse road conditions. They add a slight shift in the weather system could affect how much snow and ice the region receives.
