Police Investigate Fatal Rollover

A Merlin man is dead after being ejected from his vehicle in a Saturday night crash.

Chatham-Kent police say a vehicle was travelling westbound on Talbot Trail near Stevenson Rd. and Coatsworth Rd. just before 7pm Saturday.

Through investigation they've learned the vehicle lost control, entering the ditch and rolling multiple times. The lone occupant of the car, a 52-year-old Merlin man, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police add they will not be releasing the name of the victim at this time. The crash remains under investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
