Driver Caught Going Nearly Double Speed Limit On 401

A London man is without a licence after being caught driving 90km/h over the speed limit on Hwy. 401 in Chatham-Kent.

OPP say the driver of a BMW SUV was clocked going 190km/h near Scane Side Rd. around 10pm on Saturday night.

The officer, who was conducting radar at the time, pulled the driver over, impounded his vehicle for seven days and suspended his licence.

The 39-year-old faces one charge of racing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
