Health Alliance Sunshine List

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has 62 employees who earned more than $100,000 last year with more than half of them front line staff.

Two high profile executives led the list. Colin Patey, the President and chief executive took in $285,000, while Chief Financial Officer Sarah Padfield earned $187,613.

Board Executive Chair Brenda Richardson points out the disclosure level hasn't changed in 19 years.

"Of the 62 we are very proud of the fact that a greater portion is the front line, 27 are registered nurses and 66% of that list are unionized employees," she says. "15 new people have been added to the list and 14 of those are registered nurses, nurse practitioners and registered technologists."

The list includes 37 people who earned less than $110,000.

Richardson says executive salaries at hospitals have been frozen for five years.
