Bigamy Trial Resumes Thursday

A bigamy trial involving a Chatham-Kent man has heard that an ex-spouse of the man thought he was divorced before they even met.

The woman testified in a today that she knew the man was in a legal dispute with another ex-wife but she thought it was over child support.

Defence attorney David Jacklin cross examined her about that.

" I submit you knew it was part of the divorce proceedings," Jacklin said.

"No," she replied, "I did not, know that."

The trial resumes Thursday.
