Police say the man made an emergency landing yesterday morning in a field on Erieau Rd., south of Drury Line.
His Challenger Ultralight airplane ran out of fuel before he could make it back to the Chatham Airport, a short distance away.
The plane's landing gear was damaged in the crash.
