Victory Ford Helps Bring $500K In Wildfire Relief

Ford Canada's recent Drive 4UR Community event will see over $500,000 go to the Fort McMurray wildfire relief effort.

Victory Ford Lincoln in Chatham-Kent was one of many dealerships across the country that donated $20 for every test drive they gave on May 7. The Drive 4UR Community project raised $171,000, which is being matched by Ford Canada.

The company is forking out an additional $100,000 and the Canadian Ford Dealer Association is contributing an additional $200,000, bringing the grand total over $500K.

Victory Ford held their test drives at Ursuline College Chatham, with donations also going towards the school. All proceeds will be given to the Canadian Red Cross.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
