Paving Possible For Key Road To 2017 IPM Site Near Walton

It looks like a request from members of the Huron County International Plowing Match committee to have the Canada Company Road paved in time for the 2017 Match is going to be acted on.

The Canada Company Road is one of the roads that leads to the Match site on County Rd. 12 near Walton.

Huron East Mayor Bernie MacLellan believes the province might be willing to help. He points to the safety issues without paving, given the volume of traffic the Match will generate on the Canada Company Road.

He also points out the IPM is a huge economic development driver for the area, so he believes the municipality could get the financial help it needs to get the road paved.
