Speeders Caught Over Long Weekend

It was a busy long weekend for OPP, as officers caught three motorists going over 150km/h on Hwy. 401.

On Saturday police stopped a black Land Rover travelling WB on the highway, after clocking it going 160km/h. A 60-year-old Toronto man was charged with racing a motor vehicle.

Then on Sunday two separate motorists were stopped for allegedly speeding. Around 2:30pm OPP caught a silver Chrysler 200 going 152km/h, and later that night a black Mitsubishi was caught travelling 151km/h. As a result a 61-year-old Brampton woman and 21-year-old Windsor man were separately charged.

OPP also conducted nine R.I.D.E. programs throughout Chatham-Kent last weekend.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
