Donation Boosts Health Campaign

A $6.9-million campaign to pay for new equipment at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has received a boost.

The Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is in a multi-year campaign to raise money for diagnostic imaging equipment.

The latest donation is from the Howard Mutual Foundation to the tune of $50,000.

The hospital foundation says in a release that the donation brings it a step closer to ensuring the latest state of the art equipment is available in future.

It says that equipment will serve almost every program offered at the Health Alliance because they it is key to diagnoses in a number of cases.

The campaign has been running since 2014, and so far it has raised more than $3.4-million.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
