Classic Car Builder Won Over By Area

A visitor to Chatham-Kent who built cars that later became collectors items says the area is on the right track to reach the goal of being the classic car capital of Canada.

Malcolm Bricklin is in Chatham for Retrofest.

He says the area needs to keep promoting itself.

"I think it is a great idea, I think you have all the background you just need more publicity, more people have to to know that you are here," he says. "You have to tell more people like myself to come here and look, because I am very happily surprised."

Bricklin has owned several car related companies.

He was the first to import Subaru cars into North America and he developed the Bricklin cars that were made for a time in New Brunswick.
