Charges Piling Up For Suspected Gunman

A 29-year-old Windsor man faces 19 charges after gunshots fired in an east Windsor neighbourhood.

Windsor police say Richard Wallace already had two outstanding warrants for breach of probation and theft.

Wallace now faces the following additional charges:

  • Discharge Firearm with Intent
  • Threats to cause death
  • Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace
  • Possess a Firearm knowingly not holding a licence
  • Storage contrary to regulation
  • Careless Use of a Firearm
  • Six counts of Possess Firearm while prohibited
  • Seven counts of Breach of Probation
Gunshots were heard early Wednesday morning in the Arthur Rd. and Ontario St. area.

Police found bullet holes in a home and in a car before arresting their suspect in the 900-block of Pillette Rd.

A 21 and 27-year-old have also been arrested and charged in connection to the incident, after officers were able to stop a stolen vehicle at around 2:30am Wednesday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
