16 Long Guns Stolen In Tilbury

More than a dozen long guns are in the hands of criminals after a home was "ransacked" in Tilbury.

Chatham-Kent police say suspects stole 16 long guns, a Polaris ATV and other personal items from a house on Tecumseh Line in the last few days.

No arrests have been made.

Police are also investigating two separate break-and-enters that happened in the last couple of days.

Overnight Thursday suspects broke into a construction site on the corner of St. Clair St. and Grand Ave. E in Chatham.

Police say they stole $1,100 worth of tools.

In the second incident, someone entered an empty home undergoing renovations on Kings St. E in Chatham and took some copper wiring.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
