Foundation CKHA Names New Director

The Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has a new Director of Development.

Fannie Vavoulis takes over the role starting June 20.

"People know how much I love our community, so I feel very fortunate to be able to go into a role that supports community endeavours , our hospital," says Vavoulis. "It's a natural transition for me at this point in my career and where I am in the role currently, and the love I have for Chatham-Kent."

Vavoulis first job will be leading the Diagnostic Imaging renewal campaign. She is currently the Medical Recruiter and Education Coordinator at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

Vavoulis is currently the President of the Rotary Club of Chatham and as previously the Campaign Director for the YMCA of Chatham-Kent.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
