Ag Hall Of Fame Inductees Announced

The Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame will welcome four men and one woman into the fold this fall.

This year's inductees include Douglas and William Buchanan, who farmed for 50 years, promoted soil conservation, and were also wildlife naturalists,

William Leeson was a successful Allis-Chalmers dealer and entrepreneur of machine implement modification and manufacturing.

Henry Neutens, a researcher, businessman, and innovator for was an ambassador for the fertilizer industry.

Alice Uher is a former President of the Kent Federation of Agriculture, and has been heavily involved with livestock and nutrient management.

The induction ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 15th at Country View Golf Course at 11:30am. Tickets for the lunch can be purchased by calling Kathy Vanek at 519-683-2929.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
