Crash Results In Life-Threatening Injuries

A 51-year-old Amherstburg woman is fighting for her life in a London hospital after she was involved in a single-vehicle crash just outside of Erieau.

Police say the woman was driving a Pontiac Grand Am on Erie Shore Dr. at around 4:30pm Sunday afternoon when she lost control of the vehicle and eventually crashed it into a ditch.

She was first taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with life-threatening injuries, but was later transported to London for further treatment.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact police.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
