Heat Warning Ended

A Heat Warning from Environment Canada is over as of 10:09pm on Monday for residents in Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent and much of southwestern Ontario.

The warning comes to an end coincidentally on the first day of summer after having been issued shortly after 3pm on Saturday, affecting residents from Windsor to Sarnia to London and further east.

Environment Canada issued the alert, warning residents were expected to face the most significant heat episode of the year with temperatures peaking on Sunday and Monday before a cold front would bring cooler conditions.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
