Guns Stolen During Daytime Break-In

Chatham-Kent police are trying to track down some guns and some other valuables that were stolen from a home on St. Clair Pkwy. just outside of Wallaceburg.

Police say someone broke into the residence between 7am and 3:30pm Wednesday, causing about $1,000 in damage.

Officers say whoever broke in left with a 270 hunting rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun, a pellet gun pistol, some ammunition, and some hunting knives. They also made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, TD cheques, and jewelry.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
