One Dead, Five Injured In Fiery Hwy. 402 Crash

A serious multi-vehicle crash on Hwy. 402 near Delaware has claimed the life of one person and sent five others to hospital.

Middlesex OPP say two transport trucks and two vehicles collided in the eastbound lanes of the highway, just east of Colonel Talbot Rd. after 3pm on Monday.

At least one of the tractor trailers burst into flames.

Police say one person was pronounced dead while five other people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No names have been released.

The roadway was closed for about seven hours. OPP continue to investigate.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
