Victims Identified in Lakeshore Double Fatal

The Ontario Provincial Police have now identified two people killed in a crash Saturday night on County Rd. 46 at Rochester Townline Rd. in Lakeshore.

Police say 38-year-old Colin Jackson and 39-year-old Laurie Jackson were thrown from the motorcycle they were riding on when it collided with a minivan around 7:15pm. They were pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the minivan allegedly went through a stop sign and collided with the bike. The driver wasn't hurt.

The intersection was closed for six hours while police investigated. It's open now but the investigation is ongoing, and police expect to lay charges.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
