Early Fireworks A Hit

The 2016 Ford Fireworks were a hit in downtown Windsor Monday night.

The show started around 20 minutes earlier then in previous years. Even though it was still light out when the show started the crowd didn't notice a big difference.

"I thought it was really good, it was amazing. Not too dark, not too light and the end of the show was good too," said Joe Vitale. "It was so loud if felt like bombs were dropping or something, it was crazy."

The show did not disappoint with a total of 10,000 pyrotechnic effects- around 1,000 more than in previous shows.

"Usually they are not that entertaining, they're a little shorter. This one kept it going, I thought the grand finale was happening, but it wasn't happening and then sure enough, boom, there's like three grand finales in one show. It was awesome," said Chris Sony.

Following the event Windsor police were kept busy with multiple calls to the downtown area.
