UPDATE: Suspicious House Fire

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a suspicious fire at an abandoned house on Corktown Line just south of Wallaceburg.

Fire officials say the old farm house has been abandoned for ten years. They add vandals have targeted the home in the past.

Police say the house was already fully engulfed in flames by the time emergency crews arrived at the scene just after 8:30pm last night.

The damages are estimated at $5,000, but no injuries were reported.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
