Family Dog Saves Woman From Her Husband

Chatham-Kent police say a 42-year-old man is charged with assault after a domestic incident was broken up by the family's Boxer.

Police say the man was arguing with his wife yesterday morning before things escalated to the point where he allegedly started assaulting her.

At that point, officers say the family dog jumped on the man, freeing the woman up so that she could escape and call 911.

The 42-year-old Chatham man was later arrested and taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
