Man Slams Into Hwy. 401 Barrier, Arrested

A Chatham man driving along Hwy. 401 while repeatedly slamming his vehicle against the cement barrier has been arrested for impaired driving.

OPP got a call about the erratic driver in the eastbound lanes of the highway in Tecumseh Sunday just after midnight.

Police say he was swerving over all three lanes, bashing into the center barrier a number of times.

A 23-year-old Chatham man has been arrested for impaired driving and exceeding 80mg of blood alcohol content.

He's scheduled to appear in a Windsor courtroom later this month.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
