Historic Murder Case Back In Court

The case of a Chatham-Kent man accused in the murder of his wife nearly 30 years ago is back in court.

This week a preliminary inquiry for George Jarvis will be made, which is where a judge will decide if there is enough evidence to justify a trial.

Jarvis has been out on bail since October 2015 but information regarding evidence, the conditions of his release and his location have been under publication ban.

Jarvis has been charged with the murder of his wife Donna Jarvis in 1987.

Her case was reopened in 2013 by Chatham-Kent police which eventually lead to the arrest of Jarvis in August 2015.
