Kucera Wins Silver at Jr. Nationals

Chatham's Lee Kucera came home from the Jr. National Track and Field Championships in Edmonton with a 2nd place finish.

Kucera, who is currently playing baseball at Dalhousie University, won silver in the junior men's javelin after throwing 57.25m on his opening throw.

Meanwhile, Morgan Desjardins of Chatham placed 5th in the junior women's discus, throwing 37.50m. She finished 7th in the junior women's shot put with a throw of 11.40m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
