UPDATE: Arrest Made In Bradley Line House Fire

A 24-year-old Quebec man is facing charges of arson after a large fire torched the home of the late John D. Bradley.

Police in Chatham-Kent confirm an arrest was made near the scene of the blaze at 4977 Bradley Line, following reports of a suspicious man seen in the area.

Most of the upper level of the home was completely gutted in the fire, which was ignited at around 9:40pm, Tuesday night.

Jean-Daniel Belley-Demaisonneuve of Quebec was arrested and charged a short time later. He made a brief court appearance Wednesday morning.

Investigators haven't released a motive or said if the suspect was known to the residents of the home. However, say  the public shouldn't be concerned.

No one was home at the time of the fire, but it's estimated to have caused up to $1-million in damages.

The Ontario Fire Marshal's office, and CK police, continue to look into the cause.
