The driver of a minivan is dead after a two vehicle crash on Naylor Side Rd. at South Middle Rd. in Lakeshore on Monday afternoon.
OPP report responding to the scene of the crash at about 2:20pm — just north of Essex.
Police report a Chevrolet minivan and a Mercedes SUV collided at the intersection.
The driver of the minivan was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Mercedes was rushed to hospital with what police describe as life-threatening injuries. No other people were involved in the crash according to police.
The intersection was closed shortly after the crash and remains closed as officers investigate the scene.
