Teens Arrested For Stealing Pick-Up Trucks

Two teens and two adults have been charged after a pair of pick-up trucks and trailers were stolen in Mitchell's Bay and Wallaceburg.

On Sunday afternoon, a truck and trailer was stolen from Mitchell's Bay. The trailer was recovered on Walpole Island while the truck was found by Walpole Island police upside down in a ditch.

Yesterday afternoon, another truck and trailer was stolen, this time from the Water Town Park area in Wallaceburg.

An officer spotted the vehicle and trailer on Dufferin Ave. and arrested the four people inside the vehicle. An investigation revealed that the two young offenders were also responsible for the theft in Mitchell's Bay.

A 15-year-old from Brights Grove and a 16-year-old from Chatham-Kent are both charged with two counts of theft and two counts of possession of stolen property . The 16-year-old is also charged with failing to comply.

A 21-year-old Walpole Island man is charged with theft, possession of stolen property, and breach of probation. A 31-year-old woman is charged with theft and possession of stolen property.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
