140 Years Of Tradition And Fun

A weekend full of family-friendly activities is set to kick off at the 2016 Dresden exhibition.

President of the Dresden Agricultural Society, Lucille Laprise says at the exhibition signifies 140 years of tradition.

The exhibition is a fundraiser for the Agricultural Society but Laprise says their main goal has always been to focuss on family and the community.

Laprise says they're bringing back popular activities involving farm animals but they're also incorporating a couple of new events - inflatable rides (for all ages) and carvaopalooza, where people can learn how to do carvings.

"We've got a lot of things going on," says Laprise. "It's going to be a hot place to be this weekend and I don't necessarily mean just the weather."

The exhibition will kick off with the annual parade followed by the opening ceremony and crowning of the new Ambassador.

Most of the weekend's activities are taking place at the Lambton-Kent Memorial Agricultural Centre and the Dresden Raceway and Fairgrounds.
